In fact, cacao has a type of cannabinoid in it, named anandamide. It makes us feel good by adhering to the same receptors as THC, the main psychoactive component in cannabis, does.

How to Make Weed Chocolate
In order to make weed chocolate, you need:
- Your recommended dosage of ground cannabis (according to how much experience you have with weed and edibles)
- 100g of dark chocolate
In terms of kitchen tools, you’ll be using a glass bowl, a saucepan, and a chocolate mold (if you don’t have one, an ice tray works as well).
The first thing you’ll need to do is decarboxylating your weed.
This means eliminating a specific component of the weed, the carboxylic acid group, so that it actually has an effect on you.
It’s basically what you do every time you light up a joint.
Although the name is complicated, the process of decarboxylation is quite simple: all you need to do is spread the weed on a baking tray and bake it for 45 to 60 minutes at 230ºF.
Once that’s done, you can make the actual weed chocolate, as such:
- Start by melting your chocolate. You can do this by placing the glass bowl on top of the saucepan with boiling water. Then put the chocolate in the glass bowl and let the steam melt it. Stir from time to time.
- Mix the ground cannabis into the chocolate. It should be as finely chopped as possible.
- Place the chocolate with the cannabis into each chocolate mold. Make sure chocolate is well distributed and there are no air bubbles.
- Put the mold in the fridge and let the chocolate firm up,
And there you have it, delicious weed chocolate!
If you want to make it extra special, you can add some other ingredients to your liquid chocolate.
Lemon zest, raisins, chopped up nuts, M&Ms and mint always work.
